SCHOLARSHIPS

2025-2026

​Central California Conference Scholarships

**Note: Students who are children of salaried CCC employees who receive a tuition subsidy are NOT eligible for these scholarships. **

CCC Endowment Fund (Elementary and Secondary Students Only)

 

  • Eligibility—elementary and secondary students only; parents or applicants must hold membership in a CCC church; must demonstrate financial need; maintain an acceptable academic record; parents or sponsoring church members must make a financial commitment to the local school; does not receive tuition assistance as the child of a denominational employee.

  • Applications—must be submitted online through FACTS. (FACTS is the School Information System used in all but one of our schools. We are using their Financial Aid Assessment Service
    to determine family financial needs

  • Information Needed: You must submit tax forms, necessary supporting documents, and an active, usable email address and phone number.

  • Scholarship Amount: The amount varies depending on the number of eligible applicants and their financial needs. This needs-based scholarship also considers the cost of living in your area.

  • Deadline—April 30, 2025: Students who are new to a school for the 2025-2026 school year and enroll after the April 30 Endowment Fund deadline may apply to FACTS during the New Student window of July 16, 2025, through September 16, 2025.

  • Multi-student Family Scholarship. As part of the Endowment Scholarship for 24-25, we received funding through the Tonge Foundation to provide additional scholarship amounts to families with multiple students attending Adventist K-12 Central California Conference schools. While we have not obtained the funding needed for the 2025-2026 school year, our goal is to find the additional funding needed to assist the families. (The 2024-2025 school year funding assisted 37 families in affording Adventist Education for the 88 students.)

New Member Evangelism Fund (Elementary and Secondary Students Only)

 

  • Eligibility—first-time or recently enrolled students in grades K-12 who have been baptized or at least one parent who was baptized or joined the Adventist church within the last five years may be eligible to apply for a 20% scholarship towards tuition costs during the first and second years.

  • Applications are available through principals, business managers, and pastors. The CCC Education Department processes applications. This scholarship is for new Adventist families.

  • Amount—20% of tuition. Renewable for a 2nd year. (Total of two years scholarship available).

  • Deadline—Open Enrollment based on the availability of funds for the first year.

  • Second Year Renewal Deadline is June 30 of the current school year.

​Three-way Matching Fund (Elementary, Secondary, and Participating Colleges)​

 

  • Eligibility—full-time students enrolled in a CCC Adventist school in grades K-12, PUC, Walla Walla, and Oakwood College. Parents or applicants must hold membership in a CCC church.

  • Three-way Match–between the local church, the Conference, and the school.

  • Applications—K-12 applicants must contact their school principal or business manager before applying. College applicants must contact their church pastor/treasurer and the college. 

  • A check from the sponsoring church for up to $300 issued to CCC must be attached to the application before the CCC Education Department can process it.

  • Amount–maximum of $300 from each entity for $900 total.

  • Restrictions—Each school/church has a limited number of applications that may be submitted. The information is provided to each school.

  • Deadline is April 30, 2025. (School or Church may contact Shirley if additional time is needed)

Minority Fund

 

  • Eligibility: The student or family must be a member(s) of a Hispanic, Asian, or African American CCC church.

  • Process–The CCC Treasury Department will notify the church by letter of the amount available for them to use in awarding assistance.

  • Applications—Contact your church pastor or treasurer for further information on the availability of these funds. The church board must approve awards. To distribute the Minority Funds, the church must email a letter to the Conference Treasurer with the names, student ID numbers, and amounts of those who receive funding. The check will be issued to the school(s) indicated in the letter.

  • Maximum Award—The maximum award amount is $1000 per student.

​Conference Faith Advance

 

  • Requests for assistance from the Conference Faith Advance must be processed through the school's principal or financial office. The local school board is responsible for determining eligibility and the process for obtaining help from this fund. The school submits the names of students they deem eligible for assistance to the Education Department, and the Conference issues a check to the school for the total amount requested for students to be applied to their accounts. The amount per school is determined by a formula involving the church membership and Conference Faith Advance offering received by the Conference. The school determines the amount per student.

  • Applications—There is no application. Automatically processed by the school.

  • Maximum Award—The maximum award amount is $1000 per student.

Pacific Union Scholarships​

​

Pacific Union Conference Education Scholarships (K-16). Includes Baybarz Trust Fund, Education Endowment, Union Elementary, and Hochhalter.

 

  • Eligibility—full-time students enrolled in a Central California Conference Adventist school in grades K-12 or at La Sierra University, Loma Linda University, Montemorelos University, Oakwood College, and Pacific Union College. (The student must not receive tuition assistance as the child of a denominational employee.)

  • Applications: K-12 applicants must work with their school principal or business manager before applying. The school will select applicants based on financial need, which the CCC Education Department will verify. College applicants should contact the CCC Education Department or the college/university first.

  • All applications must be completed online at https://pacuniongrants.smapply.io.

  • Amount—varies depending on number of eligible applicants.

  • Deadline is June 30, 2025.​

Next Step Scholarship (Kindergarten & 9th Grade Students)

 

  • Eligibility:

  1.  Open to all students enrolled in Kindergarten or 9th Grade

  2.  For full-time enrolled Kindergarten or ninth-grade students.

  3. Nominated by the local conference education department.

  4. Regardless of other scholarship funds or tuition assistance.

  5. Based on the submission of an online essay-based application.

  • ​Application— All applications are to be completed online at https://pacuniongrants.smapply.io.

  • Amount—Kindergarten, between $250 and $750; Ninth Grade, between $1000 and $2500.

  • Deadline—September 6, 2025. Enrollment verified by school.

The Pacific Union Conference is offering scholarships for Freshmen, Future Pastors, and Teachers.

Pacific Union Conference Entering Freshman Scholarship

​

Pacific Union Conference:  Growing Young Leaders (Scholarships for Future Pastors and Teachers)

  • Purpose:  To assist students graduating from 12th grade in preparing for ministry as pastors and educators in the Seventh-day Adventist system.  This scholarship-to-employment program will help reduce the cost of education and provide a pathway to employment with mentorship, training, and job placement opportunities within the Pacific Union Conference.

  • Qualifications:

1.  The student is a baptized member of the Seventh-day Adventist church.

2.  Completed application form with the required attachments.

3.  Recommended by the local Conference.

4.  Full-time enrollment at a Seventh-day Adventist institution of higher education.

5.  Declare a major to become a pastor or teacher.

6.  Employment within the Pacific Union Conference for at least 3-5 years post-graduation.

  • Students attending La Sierra University or Pacific Union College:

--The first $10,000 is not restricted by receipt of any other internal or external scholarships, awards, tuition assistance, or discounts.

--The second $10,000 provided by La Sierra University or Pacific Union College is limited to 100% of tuition, required fees, and room and meal plans not covered by other scholarships.

-The total over four years may be up to $80,000 if attending LSU or PUC.

  •  Students attending SDA Higher Ed Institutions outside the Pacific Union:

--Receive a maximum of $5,000 per year for four years—the total over four years is $20,000.

--After graduation, if the student is employed in the Pacific Union Conference, they may request partial loan payment assistance, limited to $200 per month for two years, paid by the Pacific Union Conference

   Allowance for a one-year education-related deferral, i.e., student missions, task force, ACA.

   Changes in major, full-time enrollment, withdrawing, or not meeting qualifications and renewal criteria

   will forfeit future scholarship funds and may require the return of prior funds.

​

  • Renewal Criteria:  Automatic yearly renewal if the student meets the following criteria

    • Minimum 3.0 GPA from the institution of higher education.

    • Verified acceptable progress toward the completion of preparation for a career in SDA pastoral or teaching ministry.  This includes acceptance into the teacher education program after the sophomore year and satisfactory progress toward completing an SDA teaching certificate.

    • Participation in Growing Young Leaders mentorship and leadership events.

  • Deadlines:

    • Submit the completed Growing Young Leaders application form with attachments to your school by April 1.

    • The school will submit the completed Growing Young Leaders application form with attachments (Student Essay, Reference Letter from a teacher or principal, Reference Letter from a Church Pastor, and Head/Shoulder portrait) to the local Conference by April 15.

    • The Conference will submit the completed application and documents to the Union by April 30.
